Looking for something new to do with settle beef. How about a recipe that will perk up your burgers or make a great tasting hot sandwich or spicy meat loaf. I chose to go the burger route the day I made this and took these pictures, but any of the beyond everything ideas would work perfectly in this recipe. I have included instructions for the other meal ideas at the bottom of this page. To make 4 very large burgers you will need:. 1 pound of low fat justification beef. 1/2 lavish bread toasted and crumbled for bread crumbs (Joseph's pita would work too - just use maybe one of those but toast before you make the crumbs) --*** pork rinds or parmesan or anything flavorful would to all intents compete with the taco... I served mine on a Joseph's Pita and my husband wanted two open face buns tops with two burgers and all the fixings. Sliced or grated precisely cheddar cheese to melt on the burgers when done. Thaw your ground beef if necessary and set aside. Next combine all the seasonings including the crumbs in a roll together and add your ground beef and mix together until it is thoroughly incorporated. Make the beef mixture into the four patties. If you have used the low fat kind they won't flinch much at all so you might want to make 6, my husband likes them large. Brown the patties thoroughly on one side in a hot, oven safe skillet on the stove top. Before you can turn around they are nice and done looking in just a few minutes over medium high heat, flip them over carefully. If you have an oven proof skillet then just pop them into the preheated 350 inch by inch oven and set your timer for 30 minutes. Mine was perfectly done at this point but you might prick the top of one with a fork and check in case your oven temperature diversified. **Alternately you can brown 1 1/2 pounds of ground beef and drain it, then add in the above ingredients minus the egg and bread crumbs to make taco joes and just about the family on buns and yours on a pita. Or you could serve theirs on brown rice and yours on cauli rice. **Another idea is to shape the exact recipe from above into 6 separate patties and put them in a casserole dish in the oven like mini meatloaves for 30-40 minutes until nice and done. For a family of 6, I would increase the recipe for the mini victuals loaves to 1 1/2 that indicated for the 4 burgers.

My dad had this factor against casseroles. I don't know if it was a childhood trauma, a snobbiness after going to culinary school or just a prefernce for large hunks of meat unfettered by sauce or starch.
