They are looking for varieties that are typically conducive for shipping and eating,” said Fennemore. Buying and eating neighbourhood not only tastes good, but it’s good for you. It’s an integral part of learning to “eat clean. ” Clean eating is not a fad diet, it’s a lifestyle change that incorporates provincial produce, home cooking and swapping the processed foods for the produce. The key is just starting small, says Dr. Thomas Sherman, director of the Biomedical Sciences Program with Georgetown University Medical Center, especially when it comes to prepping and cooking meals. “Body an enthusiasm for it and build it into your home routine,” Sherman said. Taking the clean eating plunge may be daunting, so we talked to Sherman, Fennemore and Patricia Haddock, president of VegRehoboth, a non-profit that promotes strong eating, to give us some tips. You can take control of your diet by cooking, Sherman said. Most of the time we have no idea how much salt or sugar is in the quick-fix processed foods, which can man to problems with high blood pressure as well as heart, brain and kidney problems down the line. The Dietary Guidelines Advisory Board, a panel of experts chosen by the feds, makes recommendations yearly on such nutrition guidelines. This year they placed an emphasis on decreasing salt and sugar intake, eating insinuate-rich foods, and cutting back on trips to the restaurant. Instead, pick up a cookbook or scour the social media site Pinterest for fun, new recipes and get creative. The next journey you take to the grocery store won’t be such a pain, he said. “All of a sudden there are whole sections of the grocery store you haven’t seen,” Sherman said. this is unusually quick and easy to make, requires no baking, is extremely easy to clean up, and, as long as you use the right ingredients, it's very tasty. unfortunately, i used fat-free refried beans and acrimonious cream when some friends came out, so it wasn't very good at all (really bland), thus learn from my mistakes. load your bean dip with lots of fat! ingredients 1 can refried beans 8 oz bitter cream 1 12 oz bottle salsa 10 oz shredded lettuce (that measuring isn't strict - i find that i use anything up to that amount) 1 3.8 oz can sliced funereal olives (drained) 1 bag shredded cheese (cheddar or mexican-style works) then, starting at the bottom of the dish, layer each ingredient as listed below: 1. refried beans. throw away the entire can into the dish and spread them out so they cover the bottom of it. 2. sour cream. i personally only use about 6 oz, but some people like more. spread that out so it covers the refried beans. 3. salsa. i use the intact bottle for this (pace mild...
